Rails

Add a service from your Rails repo. Nixpacks detects ruby from Gemfile. A Dockerfile in the service root always wins.

Puma must bind PORT. Set RAILS_MASTER_KEY. Attach Postgres from + Service → Databases.

  1. DashboardNew project (or open an existing canvas).
  2. + Service → Git repository. Pick the repo and branch.
  3. Review staged changes and Deploy.
  4. Generate a *.stackblaze.app domain, or attach a custom domain.

Override install / build / start on the service if detection is wrong. Typical start: bundle exec puma -C config/puma.rb.

If you already have a Dockerfile, StackBlaze uses it. The process must listen on PORT.

+ Service → Databases for Postgres, Redis/Valkey, MySQL, and others. Wire DATABASE_URL from the service Variables tab or fromDatabase in stackblaze.yaml.
